Overview & Scope

We are currently seeking a Go-to-Market Health, Safety and Environmental (GTM HSE) Manager for our HSE team based out of Mississauga. This role reports into the Sr. HSE Manager for Canada and will contribute to PepsiCo Beverages Canada's success by providing HSE support to our Sales, Delivery, Transportation, Marketing Equipment Maintenance, and Satellite Warehouse Teams. This position is a multi-site role responsible for HSE support for the Ontario Market Unit.

Key Roles/Responsibilities:



  • Implements and executes necessary policies, procedures, work instructions and forms conforming to PepsiCo's North American Beverages HSE management system

  • Supports the execution and tracking of the annual HSE Plan for multiple GTM locations

  • Assists internal program element leaders in building HSE capabilities so to continuously improve the HSE program

  • Participates in formal HSE reviews of existing equipment modifications, new equipment purchases, and changes in site processes

  • Leads the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans

  • Plans and facilitates the completion of the annual HSE training

  • Delivers monthly reports and updates, and works with functional, site and market unit management to ensure effective communication of HSE information

  • Achieves annual HSE targets for incident frequency, severity and related cost reductions.

  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable legislation and management system standards

  • Ensures that required regulatory permits are up to date and that annual reporting requirements are met

  • Leads MOT compliance processes, including driver qualification, hours of service, vehicle condition reporting, road-side stops and incident logs.

  • Establishes the Test Drive process so to ensure driver capability

  • Liaises with regulatory authorities (Federal/ Provincial/Local Regulators) as required

  • Supports the Worker's Compensation (WC) and Return to Work (RTW) process

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required so to assist the Sr. HSE Manager in executing the broader HSE plan




Education:



  • University Degree or a College Degree in a related field, preferably in health and safety, environmental, engineering or business


Experience:



  • 5 years of HSE work experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Food and Beverage manufacturing and warehousing experience is a definite asset

  • Demonstrable employee relations experience, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

  • Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
