Division Freight Planner (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada)

Position Description:

The Logistics, Distribution & Transportation Planner is a support role reporting directly to the LD&T Assoc Manager, and working closely with the Division Distribution Manager, to maximize efficiency across all elements of the Pepsico Foods Canada traffic portfolio.

This position is required to analyze & report across all traffic KPMs through close communication with field traffic centers, third party carriers & multiple internal divisions, most notably Demand Planning, Manufacturing & Purchasing.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring all freight movements are carried out as cost effectively as possible whilst also meeting the requirements of both internal & external customers.

The role will also be required to analyze & identify opportunities to drive productivity through assessing trailer utilization, on time delivery, idle trailer time & third party carrier performance.

Key Accountabilities:

· Achieve division's key performance measures including: Cost, Quality, Service and Safety.

· Lead selected productivity plans for the Traffic operation group in Canada.

· Act as backfill for the Division Freight Planner roles across both Frito Inbound & Quaker business units.

· Maintain and develop Network scorecards and Tracking tools.

· Manage Daily Halloween volume & support LD&T Procurement Manager with the execution of this significant calendar activity.



Minimum
Job
Requirements:



· University graduate in Logistics, Science or Engineering preferred.

· Previous experience in a food distribution / manufacturing environment preferred.

· A complete supply chain understanding from Purchasing to Sales preferred.

· Knowledge of current warehousing equipment and processes.

· Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, counseling and general coaching skills.

· Ability to identify opportunities and add value to the business.

· Exceptional employee relations skills at all levels of the organization.

· Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

· Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

· Innovative, creative self-teacher who suggests and implements ideas for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

· Highly proactive individual who has a proven track record of acting under own initiative.

· Strong team orientation with a flair for working in a fast-paced environment.
