Lead the
Lead the total Quality Assurance program for all PepsiCo Americas Foods products produced, designed, or sold in Canada.
Develop strategies that focus on continuous improvement for PFC across all Foods and Snacks businesses and corresponding manufacturing facilities, totaling + $ 1.0 Billion , across multiple brands, businesses and platforms, and technologies, including Salty Snacks, Crackers, Nuts & Seeds, RTE & Hot Cereals, Granola Bars, Lite Snacks, Muffins, Cookies.
The position is responsible for direction, development, communication and implementation of Quality Assurance systems and standards to ensure consumer and customer expectations are met.
Alignment with PAF quality strategies, including leadership to multiple Canadian company-owned Plants, Canadian contract-manufacturing facilities, and multiple ingredient and packaging suppliers across the portfolio. Additionally collaboration with quality assurance partners in setting, designing and executing Quality assurance across the North American network for Canadian sold products.
Requirements
· BS Food Science or Engineering, with advanced degrees preferred.
· 5-10 years of experience of related, progressively more responsible experience in the areas of Product Development, Operations, and Food Quality.
· Knowledge of applicable food laws and standards, Canadian government , PEP , and PFC quality policies and the ability to coordinate audit follow up and resolution is preferred.
· Clear understanding of basic product development elements, and principles of quality assurance and control, incl. sensory.
· Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Quality Function Deployment (QFD), problem solving, root cause analysis.
· Solid interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively across broad partnerships
· Ability to set the agenda and take others with you , leading , guiding and enabling execution across broad indirect teams and partners.
· Must possess effective oral and written communication skills
· Knowledge of PepsiCo Foods Product platforms, and technologies an asset, including Frito Lay and Quaker products, processes and technology platforms
