Position Summary:
The Associate Finance Manager, Strategy and Performance contribute to PepsiCo Beverages Canada's success by acting as an integral part of the Canadian Finance team. In addition to providing business and strategic support, this position contributes to PBC's success by leading the Strategic Financial Planning and annual operating plan process as well as proactively monitoring business trends and identifying risks and opportunities. Key stakeholders include the CFO, VP Sales, Category Management, Marketing, Finance Directors and Managers. Success in this role will require results-driven behavior, intellectual curiosity, strong collaboration abilities, solid organizational skills, strong financial and business skills and the ability to work both independently or as part of a team. The successful candidate will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in continued learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the financial strategic plan and annual operating plan development and target setting
Lead/participate in key strategic projects that establish the roadmap for achieving the PBC Strategic Long Range Plan. Specific areas of analysis include:
- Capabilities Assessments
- Customer Analyses
- Category Mapping
- M&A Valuations
- Competitor Research
Various Other Business and Financial Assessments
- Prepare executive presentations with high quality and insightful content and present to various stakeholders.
- Complete (directly with CFO, Planning Directors and Sr. Finance Manager) communication of results to U.S. senior management including (but not limited to) the period Senior Leadership Team review. These outputs are used by PepsiCo Division senior management and require an understanding of the entire PBC business and its key business drivers.
- Partner with functional groups across Canada head office to ensure consistency on all internal reporting messaging.
- Prepare executive presentations with high quality and insightful content and present to various stakeholders.
Preferred Experiences, Skills and Abilities:
· University degree in Business required
· Professional Designation: MBA / CMA / CA preferred
· Experience in CPG industry preferred.
· 5+ years of broad financial and planning experience
· Strong collaboration, influencing, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
· Strong presentation skills
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Exceptional technical, problem solving, planning, organizational and analytical skills
· Experience in analyzing / forecasting Profit and Loss results
· Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are key requirements; Previous Essbase software experience an asset
